Xiang Si has a diverse background in software engineering and research, with experience at prestigious organizations. At Carnegie Mellon University from 2018 to 2019, Xiang Si worked as a Research Assistant focusing on Mathematics and Statistical Machine Learning. Subsequently, a Software Engineer Intern position at Apple in 2021 involved contributions to Apple Cloud Services for Mail, Calendar, and Contacts applications. From January 2022 to April 2024, a role as a Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services centered on the AWS Neuron Framework, emphasizing distributed training acceleration, machine learning framework support, and inference optimization. Earlier in 2018, Xiang Si interned at Learnable, Inc., working on computer vision and machine learning. Currently, as a Software Engineer at Google, responsibilities include optimizing performance for cloud TPU inference, particularly for vLLM and disaggregated LLM inference.
