Xin Li is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and team management. At the Knowledge System Institute from May 2006 to June 2009, Xin served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Xin joined Google in March 2012, progressing through several roles including Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead Manager, and Senior Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included managing large teams, overseeing search quality on Google Maps, and developing infrastructure for mobile applications and search backends. Currently, as Director of Engineering at Google since May 2022, Xin continues to lead initiatives in engineering productivity and search technology. Xin holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
