Xinyu Tan

Xinyu Tan is a Senior Software Engineer at Google, where they focus on YouTube Shorts Search ranking and have previously built recommendation systems for YouTube Search Suggest. Prior to this role, Xinyu worked as a Data Scientist at CareEvolution, Inc. and completed a Data Scientist internship with the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group, where they designed a machine learning system for predicting medical codes. They earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanjing University and are currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, Xinyu has experience as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan.
