Yang Xu

Yang Xu is a skilled Physical Design Engineer with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Currently employed at Google since May 2022, Yang specializes in the Google Tensor SoC, focusing on pin placement methodology, clock implementation, and timing closure. Prior to Google, Yang held the position of Senior Physical Design Engineer at NXP Semiconductors from November 2019 to May 2022, where responsibilities included physical design for secure elements and methodologies development. Previous roles include a Physical Design Engineer at TSMC North America and an internship at Cadence Design Systems, along with a VLSI internship at NVIDIA. Yang obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
