Yanif Ahmad is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, specializing in systems-building and the design of Big Data systems, along with mobile health and scientific data architectures. Previously, Yanif co-founded DaiWare, Inc. and served as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at The Johns Hopkins University. Yanif's earlier experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell University and as a research intern at both Microsoft Research and IBM Almaden Research Center. Yanif earned a PhD and multiple degrees from Brown University, as well as a BEng from Imperial College London. Notable projects include Metabolic Compass, K3, MDDB, DBToaster, and Borealis.
