Yanning Liu

Yanning Liu is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in building and managing advanced technological solutions. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Google since January 2023, Yanning Liu focuses on enhancing Google's networking infrastructure. Prior experience includes leading engineering efforts at Nordstrom, where Yanning Liu utilized analytics and machine learning to improve customer shopping experiences, and at Expedia, where Yanning Liu developed backend services for hotel queries. Yanning Liu began the career as a Software Engineer at Microsoft, contributing to Microsoft's flagship ERP solution, and also engaged in research on turbulent reacting flows at the University of Washington. Yanning Liu holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical & Applied Mechanics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BSc in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
