Yannis Simaiakis

Yannis Simaiakis, Ph.D., is an experienced professional in transportation and logistics, having held significant roles in various organizations. As General Manager of Paratransit at Via from March 2020 to February 2022, Yannis was responsible for building and growing the Paratransit operations. Prior to that, during a tenure at McKinsey & Company from July 2017 to January 2020, Yannis served as Associate Partner and Engagement Manager, advising clients on transformation programs in Travel and Logistics. At Google, Yannis held multiple leadership positions, including Chief Strategy & Insights Officer for Waze and Travel and Local Partnerships Director for EMEA, where Yannis managed partnerships across the travel sector. Yannis completed a Ph.D. in Aeronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on air traffic flow optimization. Additionally, Yannis holds multiple degrees from MIT and the National Technical University of Athens.
