Yaobang Deng

Yaobang Deng is a seasoned software engineer with substantial experience in both software development and machine learning. Beginning as a Software Engineer Intern at PrecisePK | Healthware Inc., Yaobang programmed a medical desktop application and integrated Java with C++ in the Qt framework. As a Machine Learning Intern at Lytx, Inc., Yaobang employed MobileNet and semi-supervised learning techniques to predict human head poses from dashcam videos. Currently employed at Google, Yaobang enhances merchant value within Google Shopping, significantly increasing click rates for high-quality merchants. With a solid academic foundation, including a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from UC San Diego, Yaobang has also contributed to various research projects, showcasing expertise in recommendation systems and image analysis through sophisticated models like CNNs and UNets.
