Yidan Cong

Yidan Cong has a diverse background in machine learning, research, and software engineering. Yidan served as a Research Intern at Emerald Cloud Lab, where responsibilities included coordinating maintenance systems and synthesizing DNA and PNA oligomers. Subsequent roles as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Virginia and a Machine Learning Scientist II at Wayfair involved developing deep learning models for cancer research and leading optimization strategies for product recommendations that generated significant profit gains. Currently, Yidan works as a Senior Software Engineer at Google, further enhancing technical expertise. Academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master's degree in Data Science from Northwestern University, complemented by extensive research experience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
