Yifan Chen is currently the Vice President of Community and Social Media at Blockchain At San Diego, starting in September 2021. Yifan served as a Computer Science Tutor in the UC San Diego Computer Science and Engineering Department from January 2022 to June 2022, providing assistance to students in CSE 21 Mathematics for Algorithms and Systems. Recently, Yifan worked as a Software Engineer at Google from June 2023 to September 2023, contributing to the YouTube Ads Team by migrating infrastructure to a machine learning model and enhancing the ads serving process, as well as addressing networking infrastructure. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon from June 2022 to September 2022, where optimizations for the Alexa Team improved latency for millions of devices and significantly reduced redundant traffic. Yifan is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at UC San Diego, expected to graduate in 2024.
