Yu Liu

Yu Liu is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Google since August 2022, Yu Liu focuses on integrating generative AI with personalization to enhance user experience across multiple products. Prior roles include Director at Facebook AI, where groundbreaking research and development in AI/ML relevance and business applications were conducted, and Head of Content & Shopping Engineering at Pinterest, overseeing advanced machine learning for personalized search and recommendations. Previous engagements also include significant positions at Apple, eBay, and Tokyo Electron, where Yu Liu led various initiatives in machine learning, data analysis, and algorithm development. Yu Liu holds a PhD in Information Processing and an MS in Machine Learning, both emphasizing data-driven technologies.
