Yuanzhen Li is a seasoned software engineer and technology leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and computer vision. At Google, Yuanzhen served as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google DeepMind, focusing on Gemini and innovative large language models, and previously contributed to cross-organizational efforts in computer vision and generative AI, leading projects recognized with Tech Impact Awards. Yuanzhen's career began as a Quant at Windham Capital Management, followed by founding Pictional LLC, which developed popular computational photography applications. Yuanzhen also held the position of Director of Engineering at VSCO® after the acquisition of Moving Sciences, a company founded to pioneer deep learning in image auto-tagging and discovery. Yuanzhen holds a PhD in Computer Vision from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from the Institute of Automation at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
