Zak Stone is the founder of Perceptio, a company that developed deep neural networks for face identification, which was acquired by Apple in 2014. Zak then contributed to next-generation on-device face identification technology as an individual contributor and machine learning strategist at Apple before becoming a product manager for TensorFlow and Cloud TPUs on the Google Brain Team from 2016 to 2018. Currently, Zak serves as the product manager for Cloud TPUs, focusing on making hardware acceleration for machine learning universally accessible. Additionally, Zak is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Vision at Harvard University.
