Zhao Yi

Zhao Yi has extensive experience in machine learning and software engineering, currently serving as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google since April 2021, focusing on Android App Abuse Detection. Prior roles at Google included Staff Software Engineer positions, where responsibilities involved Android App Content Integrity and Behavior Safety, as well as developing prediction models for video ads, all utilizing machine learning techniques. Zhao gained initial experience as an intern at Microsoft Research Cambridge and Siemens Medical Solutions USA, working on supervised learning and feature selection for medical applications. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University, a Master’s degree from the University of Waterloo, and a Doctorate in Computer Science from UCLA.
