Zhixun Tan

Software Engineer

Zhixun Tan is a software engineer with significant experience in software development and analysis tools. Tan began a career with a software internship at NVIDIA, where features of a kernel-level debugging tool were extended for both Linux and Windows environments. Currently at Google since March 2018, Tan serves as the tech lead for an internal JavaScript analysis tool utilized by various teams, while also contributing to the open-source projects MLIR and LLVM. Additional experience includes serving as an undergraduate research assistant at Imperial College London, where Tan ported MicroPython to a specific FPGA platform. Academically, Tan holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University with a notable GPA of 3.96, and has attended Duke University and Stanford University as a visiting and summer student in Computer Science, respectively.
