Jon Becker

Jon Becker began their work experience as a News Assignment Desk Intern at KPIX CBS5 in February 2009. Jon supported assignment editors by answering viewer and reporter calls, logging tapes, and researching stories. Jon then worked as a Radio News Intern at KQED from January 2010 to May 2010, where they supported reporters and editors in researching and writing for news broadcasts. Jon was also sent into the field to report on local news stories.

In August 2010, Jon worked as a Newsreader at AudioPress, Inc. and then as a Freelance Videographer from March 2010 to June 2011. As a Freelance Videographer, they created event videos for nightclub promoters with a quick turnaround time.

From July 2011 to August 2013, Jon worked as a Server at Uno Chicago Grill, where they greeted and assisted guests in order selection and trained new hires. Jon maintained efficiency and a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

In May 2012, Jon started working as a Theatre Producer/Director at The Second City's Donny's Skybox theatre. Jon wrote, produced, and directed sketch comedy shows, provided leadership for a cast and crew, and promoted shows through marketing efforts.

Starting in 2014, Jon joined Stan's Donuts & Coffee, where they held various roles. Jon first worked as a Lead Shift Supervisor from February 2014 to June 2015, overseeing shifts and creating training materials for the company's coffee and barista programs. Jon then became a General Manager & Social Media Coordinator from June 2015 to August 2016, leading the company's second location to sales growth and revolutionizing social media marketing efforts. Finally, from August 2015 to May 2020, they served as a Social Media & Marketing Events Manager, creating engaging content and growing the company's follower base.

In 2019, Jon worked as a Digital Marketing Consultant.

Their most recent work experience is as a CRM Marketing Specialist at Pangea Money Transfer, starting in July 2022. In this role, they manage campaigns across various channels, performs data analysis, and develops new message tests and promotional offers.

Jon Becker attended San Francisco State University from 2005 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio & Television and Writing. Additionally, from 2007 to 2008, they studied Film & Television at the University of East Anglia. In 2011, Jon enrolled in The Second City Training Center, completing the Conservatory program in 2013. Jon also attended The Second City for further Conservatory training, although the specific dates for this program were not provided.
