John Newbury

John Newbury has a long history of work experience in the retail industry. Starting in 2002, they were a District Manager for 24 Hour Fitness. John then served as a District Sales Manager and General Manager for the same company. In 2013, they moved to Fitness Connection USA, where they served as Regional President, Regional Vice President of Sales, and General Manager. In 2018, they joined Gopher Mobile App as Co-Founder and Managing Partner, and was later appointed Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, they are responsible for executing a successful seed round, acquiring strategic partnerships, implementing critical app enhancements, building a team, and carrying out Gopher's vision.

John Newbury obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from North Carolina Wesleyan University. In 1998, they were certified as a Personal Trainer by NASM.
