Jarret V. has a strong background in environmental, health, and safety management. Jarret currently holds the position of Senior Vice President - Environmental, Health & Safety at Gopher Resource since March 2023. Before that, they were the Vice President of Safety and Occupational Health at the same company from October 2018 to March 2023. Prior to Gopher Resource, Jarret worked at The Mosaic Company as Sr. Manager- Process Safety & EHS Management Systems from January 2018 to October 2018, and as Sr. Engineering Manager- Process Safety Management from June 2016 to January 2018. Jarret also gained experience in safety and occupational health at DuPont, where they held various roles such as Global Process Safety Management Leader-Industrial Biosciences from June 2015 to July 2016, Safety, Health & Environmental Manager from November 2013 to November 2015, and Safety & Occupational Health Manager from October 2011 to November 2013. Jarret's work experience also includes serving as a Regional Safety Manager at Manson Construction Co. from March 2009 to October 2011, and working in emergency management and life safety in the U.S. Navy from March 1998 to May 2008.
Jarret V. completed their Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University in 2009. Jarret then pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Advanced Safety Engineering & Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which they completed between 2011 and 2013. Additionally, Jarret has obtained various certifications including Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA Outreach Trainer- General Industry, OSHA Outreach Trainer- Maritime, and is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
