Dena Marks

Dena Marks, PhD, CPRW, is a Senior Grant Writer at Propeller, where they collaborate with a team to research, write, and report on funding applications. With over 15 years of experience in writing, editing, and researching across nonprofit, government, and private sectors, Dena aims to translate language into positive change. They have previously held roles at Louisiana State University, including Project Graduate Assistant and Assistant Director of the University Writing Program. Dena has also worked as an Academic Editor for Dissertation Editor and as a Senior Grant Writer for Wild Fundraising, managing development accounts for multiple nonprofit organizations. Additionally, Dena is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at Louisiana State University, alongside a Master of Arts from The New School for Social Research and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
