At Gordon Parks Elementary School, nestled in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri, we are more than just a public charter school. We are a vibrant community of learners, educators, and dreamers who celebrate the infinite potential of every child. Our commitment to education began in 1999 when founders Dorothy Curry and Sue Jarvis ignited the spark that has now grown into a beacon of hope for over 175 young minds in kindergarten through fourth grade. The school's namesake, the pioneering African-American artist and intellectual, Gordon Parks, is more than an inspiration - he is a symbol of the heights our students can reach.
