Aaron E. Barton

Aaron E. Barton has a strong background in risk management and compliance. Aaron E. started their career at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in 2003, where they were responsible for shaping the firm's risk management program. In this role, they analyzed and approved new business proposals and collaborated with the Firm's Ethics Counsel. Aaron E. also worked closely with the General Counsel's Office to defend claims against the firm and adjust risk management strategies. In 2011, Barton joined Complitek LLC as a Senior Risk & Compliance Consultant, where they continued to develop their expertise in the field. In 2013, they joined Gordon & Rees LLP as the Chief Risk Officer, where they built a new risk department and expanded the risk management team from 3 to 30. In this role, Barton directed all risk management and compliance activities, and embedded a risk mitigation mindset into the organization.
