Darren Breen

Darren Breen's work experience includes being a Senior Engineering Manager at Wood Mackenzie since 2023, where they previously worked as a Cloud Engineer from 2022 to 2023. Before that, they served as a Consultant Lead Technical Architect at GoRoadie starting in 2020. In 2018, Darren worked as a Freelance Software Engineer at DMBreen Ltd, undertaking projects involving C#, Ruby, NodeJS, Python, and Typescript. Darren also has contract engineering experience with Moody's Analytics, Registers of Scotland, Wood Mackenzie, and deltaDNA. In 2016, Darren worked as a Lead Instructor at CodeClan, and prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at Actify, Inc.

Darren Breen has a diverse education history in the field of computer science. From 2013 to 2015, they attended Edinburgh Napier University, where they obtained a GCHQ certified Msc Advanced Security and Digital Forensics degree. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, they studied at the National College of Ireland, earning a BSc (Hons) Computing degree with specialization in Cloud Computing. In 2008, they attended Abertay University and completed a Higher National Certificate in Computer Games Application Development. Additionally, in 2007-2008, they obtained a Certificate in Information Technology with Networking from Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education.

Furthermore, Darren Breen has also obtained several certifications in various fields. In November 2019, they completed the (Microsoft) Data Science Core certification from edX and the (University of Washington) IT Project Management certification, also from edX. In June 2017, they obtained the Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET) from City & Guilds.
