Michael Carr has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael is the Co-Founder and CEO of GoRoadie, where they are responsible for building the business, developing software and features, managing finances and marketing, and providing customer service.
Prior to that, Michael worked as a Software Development Manager at Amazon, leading a team of engineers on internal projects. Michael also managed project teams and delivered Amazon Forte, an annual review tool.
Before Amazon, Michael held multiple roles at Findmypast. Michael served as a Technical Team Lead, leading a re-architecture project and onboarding team members. Michael was then promoted to Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on various re-architecture projects and the Lives Of The First World War Project.
Michael started their career at GFI Software as a Software Developer, integrating different technologies and enhancing the customer experience. Michael also worked at Adgistics as a Developer, creating solutions for high-profile clients.
Additionally, Michael has experience at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe as a LUA Code & Test Engineer, and at Realtime Worlds as a Build Engineer for the MMO title Project: MyWorld. Michael also worked as a Games Programmer at Dynamo Games.
Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Call Agent at ClientLogic and as a Student Helper and Student at the University of Abertay Dundee.
Michael Carr obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Games Technology from Abertay University in 2008. Michael also completed a Level 5 degree in Coaching & Mentoring from the Chartered Management Institute in 2017.
