GoSafer.Online CIC is a Community Interest Company promoting wellbeing in the online world. There are two facets to this: One is the “technical health” of devices; but even more important is the mental (and sometimes physical) health of users.
The way we work also divides in two: we’re constantly developing our online resources, but we also work in the community. It’s important to be “up close” to problems, to know at first hand what they are, and whether we’re addressing them effectively.

The old, and those with limited English face challenges, but technology companies have chosen young people as a special target. These companies operate under laws that allow them to keep their profits while evading responsibility for the harm their products cause.

Artificial intelligence adds new risks, while offering tech companies such huge potential profits that they try to force the adoption of these new services whether the public wants it or not.

Governments, law courts and families know about many of these problems, but change takes time. We hope to play some part in accelerating that change. It’s taken time to get to where we are, but the prospects that we can do something worthwhile have greatly improved since we’ve built a new team of volunteers.

Our volunteers are committed to the cause, and have the time, energy and ideas to take the work forward. Do get in touch whether you're an individual, or an organisation working on similar issues.
