Patrick Sherwin has worked in the renewable energy industry for over 18 years. In 2002, they began as the General Manager of Dovetail Solar and Wind. In 2004, they became an Adjunct Professor at Hocking College. In 2005, they worked as an Assistant Manager at Independent Energy Solutions - Solar Engineering & Construction. In 2006, they were a Systems Integrator at Entropy Ltd. In 2007, they were a Business Developer at Cape Eleuthera Institute. In 2008, they were the Co-Founder and CTO of Brightfield Transportation Solutions. From 2009 to 2013, they were self-employed at Applied Sunshine, LLC, engaging with clients in the commercial solar PV and solar thermal market throughout the Midwest. During this time, they also worked as a Senior Product Developer at RBI Solar Inc., designing and engineering solar racking structures. Finally, in 2013, they founded and became the CEO of GoSun Inc., a company that makes outdoor cooking easier, cleaner and more accessible.
Patrick Sherwin attended Ohio University from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology. Prior to that, they attended Virginia Tech from 1996 to 1997, studying Mechanical Engineering.
