Chenny Xia

Co-Founder, CEO at Gotcare

Chenny Xia has a long history of work experience, beginning in 2010 with Pixelbot, where they were a Design Lead and Co-Founder. At Pixelbot, Chenny was responsible for leading ethnographic research to address customer adoption, as well as refining the digital experience by leading marketing and service teams to stress-test experience concepts. In 2015, Chenny became the CEO and Co-Founder of Journey CX, where they led innovation capability workshops and built action-oriented accelerated learning series focused on adoption of new methods. From 2017 to 2018, Chenny was the Service Design Project Lead at The Moment, where they led client engagements through end-to-end service design engagements, managed and measured impact metrics and resources, and facilitated dozens of training sessions to support teams in building their service design and agile capabilities. In 2019, Chenny joined the Institute for Advancements in Mental Health as a Design Advisor for the Patient Toolkit and a Digital Lead for the COVID-19 Response Team. In this role, Chenny advised and mentored other contributors related to Service Design and Innovation Strategy methods. In 2020, Chenny joined Humber College as an Industry Liaison, where they supported students to be "industry-ready" during their last year before graduating. Finally, in 2021, Chenny joined the Ontario Ministry of Finance as a Task Force Member for Women and the Economy.

Chenny Xia attended Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where they studied Communication Design. They then went on to pursue an Entrepreneurship degree at the University of Toronto. Additionally, they have a certification in u.lab: Leading From the Emerging Future from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
