Cheryl Nelson

Cheryl Nelson began their professional career in 2003 as a Billing Specialist at Sacramento Building Products. In 2008, they became a Bookkeeper at Alchemist CDC. From 2010 to 2016, they worked at Arrow Electronics in various roles, including Reporting and Accounts Receivable Specialist. In 2016, they joined FreightWatch International as a Staff Accountant and was later promoted to Accountant. In 2017, they moved to AECOM as a Staff Accountant - Intercompany and Joint Venture Accountant. In 2018, they joined DJO Global as a Credit Analyst and also began working at Gotransverse as a Documentation Developer and Customer Solutions Engineer. At Gotransverse, they transitioned to a technical writing position and was responsible for reviewing existing documentation, writing release notes, updating two User Guides, creating new sections of documentation, and learning MadCap Flare. After one year, they were deploying documentation, training new hires, and redefining processes for release notes, user guide changes, and API documentation.

Cheryl Nelson attended Eastern Michigan University from 2000 to 2002, where they studied Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Cheryl then attended University of Phoenix from 2004 to 2005, where they studied Accounting. In 2016, Cheryl obtained a Quickbooks Online ProAdvisor certification from QuickBooks ProAdvisors USA LLC and a Xero Certified Advisor certification from Xero.
