Laura John-Bernier

Laura John-Bernier has extensive experience in event management and content production. Laura recently worked as the Head of Content at GovNet and was responsible for overseeing content creation and management. Prior to that, they joined Tech Nation as the Speaker Engagement Lead and Head of Events (maternity cover), where they managed speaker liaison, event budgets, and operations for multiple projects. Laura also held the position of Event Director at Next In Tech and MoneyNext.

In their previous roles, Laura served as Senior Content Producer & Conference Director at Informa Connect, where they produced Finovate conferences and successfully delivered virtual events. Laura was also a Senior Conference Producer at Infopro Digital, producing conferences and webinars for the insurance portfolio. Laura started their career as a Conference Producer at Arena International Events Group and Terrapinn.

Additionally, Laura worked as the Content Coordinator at the Aid & International Development Forum (AIDF), where they managed conference agendas, speaker acquisition, and on-site event delivery for global humanitarian aid and development events. Laura also gained experience as a Public Affairs Assistant at Ranelagh International.

Laura John-Bernier completed their Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the University of Warwick from 2007 to 2011. Laura also participated in a one-year exchange program at Sciences Po from 2009 to 2010, where they studied Politics, International Relations, and Economics.
