Seth Morrison

Seth Morrison has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 1999, they started their career as a Teacher of High-School Spanish, Earth Science, and Biology at Trident Academy. Seth then moved on to Fidelity National Credit Services, where they worked as a Technical Support Representative from 2000 to 2004.

In 2004, Morrison took on the role of Interim Financial Manager at The Baldwin Clinic/La Clinica de Baldwin. After that, they joined Research Specialists as a Lead Real Estate Title Analyst for a brief period in 2005 before transitioning to the Foreign-Trade Zone Corporation. At the latter, they served as the Director of Trade Policy and Economic Analysis from 2005 to 2010.

From 2011 to 2017, Morrison was the SVP of Data & Analytics at Hope Enterprise Corporation. Following that, they joined S&P Global Market Intelligence, where they held various roles. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Data Steward, Agile/Scrum Product Owner, and then became a Data Expert and Agile/Scrum Product Owner from 2021 to 2022.

Currently, Morrison is employed as a Data Product Owner at GovSpend, starting in 2022. Throughout their career, they have gained expertise in data management, analytics, and product ownership.

Seth Morrison obtained a B.A. degree in Spanish from the College of Charleston, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. Seth later pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Political Science at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, from 2001 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Seth has also obtained multiple certifications. In December 2020, they completed the "EssentialTECH Foundations" certification from S&P Global. Seth further expanded their knowledge in various technical domains by obtaining certifications such as "Tableau Essential Training" from LinkedIn in September 2020, "DevOps Foundations" and "DevOps Foundations: Site Reliability Engineering" from LinkedIn in July 2019, and "Learning Cloud Computing: The Cloud and DevOps" from LinkedIn in July 2019.

Furthermore, Seth has demonstrated expertise in cloud computing through earning the "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2020 and the "AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate" certification from AWS in December 2021. Seth has also acquired agile and scrum certifications, including "Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)" from Scrum Alliance in September 2019, "Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner" from Scaled Agile, Inc. in May 2021, and "Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager" from Scaled Agile, Inc. in January 2021.

Moreover, Seth has recently obtained several focused technical certifications. In July 2022, they completed the following LinkedIn certifications: "Learning Full-Stack JavaScript Development: MongoDB, Node, and React," "Learning Node.js," "MERN Essential Training," and "React.js Essential Training." These certifications reflect their commitment to staying updated with the latest technology and expanding their skill set.
