JOHN EK

John Ek has worked in the software engineering industry since 1994. JOHN'sfirst job was as a Programmer Analyst at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, where they designed, implemented, and maintained internal and external web sites, as well as acted as a technology advisor for various departments implementing Internet technologies. In 1998, they became a Senior Web Developer at PROSOFT, where they analyzed Internet-based system requirements and developed detailed design specifications. In 2000, they moved to Dell Inc. as a Senior Web Developer, where they gathered and analyzed business requirements and existing technology to reduce Dell's costs associated with providing customer support online. In 2014, they became a Senior Software Developer at Website Pipeline, where they developed internal integration from their WSP Extranet to Quickbooks via QB API utilizing C#, VB.net and SQL. In 2016, they joined True North Recruiting, LLC as a Senior .Net/MVC Developer, where they developed e-commerce websites and applications in Asp.Net MVC 6, C# 7, Entity Framework 6, Linq, MS SQL Server, and Jquery. In 2017, they moved to Hagee Ministries as a Senior .Net Core/MVC Developer, where they developed e-commerce websites, REST API services and applications in Asp.Net MVC 6/Core 2.3, C# 7, Entity Framework (Framework 6 & Core 2). In 2019, they became a Senior .Net Developer at Visionworks of America. In 2021, they moved to Cart.com as a Senior .Net Core Engineer. Currently, they work at GovX as a Senior Software Engineer.

John Ek obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Lander University between 1991 and 1994. JOHN also attended Aviano American High School. In January 2023, John obtained an ESET Cyber Security Awareness Training Certificate from ESET North America.
