Aaron Tarbell has extensive work experience in the educational sector. Aaron began their career in 2011 as a Substitute Teacher and Water Polo Coach at La Habra High School. In 2012, they moved to Lowell Joint School District as a Substitute Teacher. In 2013, they were hired as a Humanities Teacher at the New Los Angeles Charter School, where they designed and facilitated blended-learning opportunities for students. In 2019, they began working as a Freelance Content Contributor for Newsela, curating content and developing unit guides and instructions. In 2020, they joined Formative (goformative.com) as a Senior Client Success Manager and Success Manager, where they developed and maintained relationships with strategic and mid-market accounts in the western United States and designed virtual learning and development opportunities for external stakeholders. Currently, they are employed at GradeCam as an Instructional Design Manager.

Aaron Tarbell has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UC Santa Barbara, obtained in 2008. Aaron then pursued a Single Subject Teaching Credential in History and English from California State University, Fullerton in 2010. In 2017, they obtained a Master of Science in Educational/Instructional Technology from the same university. In 2019, they obtained a Google Certified Educator - Level 2 certification from Google. In 2022, they obtained a Leading Yourself certification from LinkedIn.
