Mark McNally has extensive work experience as a mechanical engineer, with a focus on product design and development. Mark has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 1989, Mark worked as a Summer Intern at SGI. Mark then joined Procter & Gamble in 1990 as a Product Design Engineer, where they were involved in developing innovative packaging for liquid detergents and cosmetics. During their time at Procter & Gamble, Mark received several patents for their contributions.

In 1993, Mark moved on to work at Lunar Design as a Product Design Engineer, where they were responsible for engineering the hot-swappable drive bay and fans on the Network Server 500. Mark received patents for their work on hot-swappable fans and EMI shielding.

Mark joined Bridge Design in 1995 as a Product Design Engineer, focusing on developing a microfluidics control test prototype. Mark worked on solving microfluidics problems and improving fluid movement.

From 1996 to 1999, Mark worked at MOTO Development Group as a Product Design Engineer. Mark then joined Speck Design in 2009 as a Sr. Product Design Engineer, where they continued to contribute to product design.

In 2012, Mark joined Aether Things as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they worked on the full product development cycle of The Cone. Mark invented the rotating grill that provided a satisfying dial with a smooth feel.

Mark worked at Navdy in 2015 as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and later became the Principal Mechanical Engineer. Mark played a key role in engineering the aftermarket Head-Up Display and accessories for the next generation.

From 2017 to 2022, Mark worked at TONAL as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and then as the Mechanical Engineering Manager. Mark led projects, managed the mechanical team, and played a crucial role in the design of large plastic parts. Mark also collaborated with teams in the US and Taiwan.

Most recently, in 2022, Mark joined Gradient as the Mechanical Engineering Manager.

Mark McNally attended Stanford University from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Product Design Engineering.
