Tom Kimkes

Tom Kimkes, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the fields of data science, microbiology, and computational biology, currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Gradientech. Previously, Tom held the position of Product Specialist at Viedoc, where responsibilities included leading integration projects and providing technical support for clinical database management and clinical trial organization. Earlier experience includes roles as a Scientist in Microbiology and Data Analysis at Q-linea, a Consultant in Computational Biology at 10x Genomics, and a Project Manager and Study Director at Ardena, overseeing bioanalytical phases of preclinical studies. Tom's academic journey includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Groningen, as well as earning a PhD focused on bacterial biofilm formation and multiple master's degrees in molecular biology and biotechnology from esteemed institutions.
