Mark Segger has over 35 years of work experience at GrafTech International. Mark started in 1984 as a Senior Process Engineer, where they pioneered fast baking and graphitization technology. Mark then transitioned to the role of Senior Development Engineer, where they developed best practices and coordinated improvements in electrode manufacturing facilities. From 2005 to 2008, Mark served as the Technology Roadmapping and New Product Development Manager, establishing a new product line and collaborating with sales and marketing teams. Mark later became the Super Fine Grain Development Manager, overseeing the installation of a new product line and managing equipment installation. Mark then took on the role of Director of Research and Development, leading a team focused on advanced graphite materials and implementing a stage-gated system for project management. Currently, they are the Associate Director of Electrode Manufacturing Technology, contributing to the company's operations in that area.
Mark Segger attended the University of Waterloo from 1980 to 1985 and obtained a BaSC degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Process Engineering.
