Ryan Wayne

Ryan Wayne is an experienced Materials Scientist with a rich background in research and development within the graphite materials sector. Currently at GrafTech International since September 2020, Ryan focuses on reducing graphite electrode breakage and enhancing product quality through forensic evaluations of field failures. Prior roles include Director of R&D, Quality and Safety at GES AGM, Inc., where Ryan established laboratory capabilities for a new graphite powders business unit, and Innovation and Technology Manager at NeoGraf Solutions, LLC, overseeing all phases of new product development. Additionally, extensive experience at GrafTech International spans various leadership positions, including managing R&D initiatives that led to significant advancements in graphite technology with substantial cost reductions. Ryan holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
