James Dai is a seasoned biostatistician with extensive experience in cancer research and genetic studies. Currently serving as Senior Director of Biostatistics at GRAIL since July 2022, James previously held various positions at Fred Hutch from September 2007 to June 2022, culminating in the role of Professor of Biostatistics. In this capacity, James acted as Principal Investigator for several National Cancer Institute projects focused on statistical genetics and genomic studies. James also contributed significantly as a faculty statistician for phase 1-3 HIV prevention trials. Academic credentials include a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Washington, along with two Master of Science degrees from the University of Minnesota and the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in Biostatistics and Molecular Pathology, respectively.
