- Technical Consultant Project Lead at SAS from 2012 to 2023, where they led data management and solution architecture teams for an insurance company's IFRS 17 Project and delivered solutions to analytical and technical issues.

- Sr. Technical Engineer (Professional Services) at SAS from 2012 to 2021, responsible for delivering solutions to analytical and technical issues.

- Business Intelligence Specialist at University of Sydney in 2012, where they performed data integration, modeling, and visualization for various departments.

- Software Analyst Lead (R&D) at SAS from 2008 to 2012, leading consulting and development and testing teams for text analytics and social media analytics solutions.

Leon Yang has an extensive education history. In 2012, they pursued Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Study in Data Mining and Machine Learning at the University of Sydney. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, they completed their Master of Engineering (MEng) in Information Systems at Inje University. Their undergraduate studies were at Shandong University, where they received a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Leon has obtained several certifications. In 2010, they became a SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 (CBP). Continuing their SAS certifications, in 2011, they received the SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9. In 2013, Leon acquired two certifications: SAS Certified BI Content Developer for SAS 9 and SAS Certified Platform Administrator for SAS 9. Additionally, in 2015, they became SAS Certified Data Integration Developer for SAS 9.

Furthermore, Leon has received several certifications from Microsoft. In 2022, they achieved the certifications of Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. In 2023, they obtained the Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals certification.

Lastly, in the field of data mining and analysis, Leon has proven their expertise through certifications from SAS. In 2018, they became a SAS Certified Big Data Professional Using SAS 9. Following that, in 2019, they acquired the SAS Certified Predictive Modeler Using SAS Enterprise Miner 14 certification.
