Nicholas Ray

Nicholas Ray, CISSP, AI GP, currently serves as a GRC TPM at Grammarly, where responsibilities include supporting engineering teams in compliance initiatives related to AI/ML writing and communication assistants. Prior to Grammarly, Nicholas held the position of Manager of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) in the public sector at Smartsheet, focusing on meeting security and compliance needs for government customers. Nicholas also served as a Security Consultant at Smartsheet and gained experience as a Security Analyst at Nintex, where the role involved maturing security processes and serving as a security audit SME. Earlier experience includes working as an IT Security Consultant at Coalfire Systems, specializing in compliance with various regulatory standards and frameworks, and as an Associate IT Security Consultant, auditing HIPAA compliance programs and providing advisory services for FedRAMP. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Western Washington University.
