Bert Carapiet

Bert Carapiet has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Bert is currently the Director of CloudOps/DevOps at GrammaTech, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Prevalent Inc. as the Director of Automaton from 2019 to 2022. In this role, they led and managed the Automation team, implemented best practices and solutions for applications utilizing CI/CD and the public Cloud, and collaborated with multiple teams to modernize software and service delivery.

Before joining Prevalent Inc., Bert was the Manager of Automation at Rogue Wave Software from 2015 to 2019. Bert spearheaded the product testing process, oversaw testing activities, and ensured compliance with quality standards. Bert also provided leadership in bug triage and project management using agile methodologies.

From 2011 to 2014, Bert worked at Halogen Software as the Manager of Automation. Bert led the implementation of a Selenium Infrastructure, provided strategic leadership to a team of automation developers, and guided management on project and delivery risks. Bert also built and inspired a team of quality assurance professionals.

Prior to Halogen Software, Bert worked at Privasoft as the Manager of Product Verification from 2006 to 2011. In this role, they administered the design and analysis of test specifications, maintained test cases and environments, and led problem identification and troubleshooting activities. Bert also had additional work experience from 1993 to 2005.

Bert Carapiet attended Cambrian College from 1989 to 1993, where they studied Management Information Systems and Services. During their time at Cambrian College, they also pursued an Honors Diploma in Information Systems with a CO-OP Option.

In August 2021, Bert Carapiet obtained a certification in Cybersecurity Awareness Training from ESET North America.
