Ryan Knight

Ryan Knight has over 20 years of experience in software architecture, consulting, and product management. Ryan currently serves as the Principal Software Architect and CEO at Grand Cloud, where they lead consulting engagements and delivers high-quality solutions for clients. Previously, Ryan worked as the Director of Solution Architecture at Fauna Inc., where they helped companies build applications on the Fauna Database. Ryan also worked as an Enterprise Solution Engineer at DataStax, specializing in architecting large Scala data pipelines. Ryan has also worked at Typesafe as a Consultant and Trainer for the Typesafe Platform, and at Riot Games as a Senior Software Engineer. Throughout their career, they have held various roles in companies such as Williams Pipeline, Gorilla Logic, Oracle, FamilySearch.org, and Sun Microsystems, where they gained expertise in areas such as Java development, architecture, and sales consulting. Ryan is skilled in utilizing agile processes, understanding business needs, and translating them into technical roadmaps to deliver projects on schedule.

Ryan Knight obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Utah Valley University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in Engineering Management at the University of Colorado Boulder, completing the program from 1999 to 2001.
