Grange Resources
Matt Abel is an experienced machine operator currently working at Grange Resources since October 2014, focusing on production roles involving operation of blast hole drills, heavy float plant haulage, and various dump trucks. Previously, at Grange Resources, Matt held the position of Leading Hand Dayworks Labour, which involved general labor tasks, operation of heavy machinery, and ecological conservation efforts. Before this, Matt worked as a fixed plant operator at Copper Mines of Tasmania from July 2008 to September 2014, where responsibilities included mineral processing and equipment operation. Earlier in their career, Matt managed a bottleshop at Altrex Investments, handling customer service and stock control. Matt attended Kalgoorlie College from 1994 to 1995.
Grange Resources
Grange Resources Limited owns and operates Australia's largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business located in the northwest region of Tasmania. The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine, 100km southwest of the city of Burnie, is a long life mining asset with current reserves estimated to extend the mine life to beyond 2035. At Port Latta, 70kms northwest of Burnie, is Grange Resources' wholly owned pellet plant and port facility producing over two million tonnes of premium quality iron ore pellets annually with plans to increase annual production in the coming years to 2.7 million tonnes. Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contract process.
