Chris Smith

Chris Smith has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Chris currently holds the position of Head of Application Development at Pearlman Group, starting in 2022. Previously, they worked at Global Payments Inc. for over 14 years, where they held various roles, including Senior Director, Application Delivery, Director, Application Development, and Senior Manager, Application Development. During their time at Global Payments Inc., they managed teams, led major application migrations and re-architecting projects, and oversaw the end-of-life of legacy systems. Before that, they worked as the Manager of Account Implementation Systems at RBS WorldPay, Inc., where they managed programmers and implemented account boarding applications. Chris'searly experience includes working as a Senior Web Engineer at BookmanStudios, where they led website redesign projects and developed web interfaces using various technologies.

Chris Smith has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia Southern University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from the University of Mississippi. Chris also holds certifications including DevOps Foundations and DevOps Foundations: Lean and Agile from LinkedIn, as well as PCI Internal Security Assessor (ISA) and PCI Professional (PCIP) from the PCI Security Standards Council.
