Rob Spence

Rob Spence is a Principal in International Tax Services at Grant Thornton Advisors LLC, a position they have held since 2024. Previously, they were a Partner at Grant Thornton (US) from 2020 to 2024, where they also served as the MetroDC Tax Partner in Charge and the Atlantic Coast International Tax Leader. Prior to this, Rob held roles as Managing Director of Tax Planning at The AES Corporation, International Tax Planning at IBM, and Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal. Rob’s earlier experience includes working as a Tax Manager at Arthur Andersen and a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young. They earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from James Madison University and a Master of Science in Accounting with a focus on Tax from the University of Virginia.
