Christophe Willemsen has a diverse range of work experience. Christophe started their career in 2000 at Belgian Defence as a CIS & GMDSS Ops, where they supervised the operation and maintenance of communications and satellite systems on NATO battleships. Christophe also had responsibilities for securing email and chat communications and was deployed in embargo and anti-piracy missions.
In 2009, Willemsen worked as a PHP Developer at ENS until 2013.
In 2014, Willemsen joined Neoxygen as a Lead Developer, where they were involved in the creation, development, and support of web components for Neo4j. Christophe also contributed to the creation of the Graphgen web application, which is a graph generation system.
During the same year, Willemsen also started working at GraphAware as a Neo4j Senior Consultant. Christophe'sresponsibilities included providing consultancy, development, and training on Neo4j-backed applications, with expertise ranging from recommendation engines to fraud detection systems.
In 2015, Willemsen joined Musimap as a Technical Strategy Advisor. Christophe provided advisory services on technologies used by Musimap, focusing on making the platform ready for growth. Christophe'sareas of expertise included Neo4j, MessageQueue Brokers systems, ElasticSearch, and Batching mechanisms for synchronization updates.
Willemsen has been with GraphAware since 2014 in various roles. Christophe worked as a Principal Consultant from 2016 to 2018, focusing on Natural Language Processing systems and their implementations in conversational interfaces for voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Home or chatbots. In 2018, they took on the role of Chief Technology Officer at GraphAware.
Christophe Willemsen studied at Operational School Den Helder from 1997 to 1999, where they pursued a degree in Electronics Engineering. In 2009, they attended Operationele School Den Helder and completed the CISCO Exploration I-IV program, specializing in Networks.
In addition to their formal education, Christophe has obtained various certifications. In June 2019, they earned the Microsoft Devops Assessment (18473) certification from Microsoft. In September 2017, they completed the Build Chatbots with Watson Conversation program offered by IBM. Furthermore, in July 2015, they became a Neo4j Certified Professional through NeoTechnology.
