Mark Kattenbelt is an accomplished professional in the field of software engineering and research, currently serving as Director of SDK Frameworks at Graphcore since May 2020, where roles have also included Software Team Lead and Software Platform Engineer. Prior to this, Mark held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Costain Group PLC from July 2016 to May 2020, following a tenure as Senior Software Engineer at SSL Simulation Systems Ltd, which was acquired by Costain PLC. Mark began a career in research as a Research Assistant at the University of Oxford while completing a DPhil in Computer Science focused on automated formal verification techniques, further enhanced by prior experience as a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham.
