Mamoun Taher

Mamoun Taher, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of material technology and innovation. In 2017, they founded Graphmatech and served as the Founder, CEO, and CTO. Under their leadership, the company has built a strong team and secured investments from top-notch investors. Mamoun Taher and their team are dedicated to leveraging their technological advancements to address global challenges such as climate change and the energy sector. In 2021, they joined SIO Grafen as a Board Member. Additionally, Mamoun Taher has been a Board Member for BATTERIES SWEDEN (BASE) since 2020. Prior to founding Graphmatech, they worked at ABB as a Materials Tech from 2015 to 2017 and was involved in research and innovation at Uppsala University starting in 2015.

Mamoun Taher, PhD has a comprehensive educational background in the field of engineering and materials science. Mamoun began their academic journey in 2002 at the University of Aleppo, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering in 2007. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Biomaterials at the same institution from 2007 to 2009. In 2009, they furthered their studies at the Universität des Saarlandes, completing a Master's Degree in Advanced Materials Science and Engineering in 2010. Building upon their previous knowledge, they embarked on their research work and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Chemical Engineering from Luleå University of Technology in 2015, where they focused on their area of expertise. Continuously expanding their academic horizons, Mamoun pursued a Postgraduate Degree at Uppsala University, and subsequently conducted a Postdoctorate at the same institution from 2015 to 2016. Throughout their educational path, Mamoun Taher has exhibited a dedication to advancing their knowledge and expertise in the field of materials science and engineering.
