Akshai Baskaran

Akshai Baskaran is an accomplished leader in energy and decarbonization, currently serving as VP at Gravity Climate since January 2024. Previously, Akshai held the position of Senior Director of Strategy, Finance, and Business Development at Brimstone, where responsibilities included leading commercial and partnership discussions. At Impossible Foods, significant contributions were made as Head of Long-Term Strategy and Senior Manager of BizOps & Strategy, focusing on manufacturing scale-up, product commercialization, and long-term strategic projects. With experience as a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, Akshai advised private equity firms and led casework in various strategic initiatives. Akshai’s earlier roles included research positions at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, as well as an internship in energy policy with the United States Senate. Akshai holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, complemented by honors in International Security.
