Dhirendra Shukla

Dhirendra Shukla has a long and varied work experience. Dhirendra began their career in 1994 as an Assistant Production Engineer at Zambia Copper Mines, where they worked on a project to reduce the utility cost of all their national copper mines. In 1995, they became a Production Engineer at CRODA Solvents Ltd., where they automated the process control procedures and provided root cause analysis on plant production problems. In 1997, they joined Nortel Networks as a Senior System Engineer and Software MPLS Test Architect, and worked on WiMax and Metro Ethernet Switch, MPE9500/Neptune, and Passport 7K, 15K and 20K projects. In 2005, they completed their PhD in Entrepreneurial Finance at King's College London. In 2009, they became a Professor and Dr. J. Herbert Smith Chair for Technology Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of New Brunswick. In 2013, they founded The Summer Institute, a three-month program to guide participants through the process of turning their vision into a livelihood. In 2016, they became the President of the Association of Indo-Canadians and the Founder of Energia Ventures, which invests in seed and pre-seed stage startups. In 2018, they founded Gray Wolf Analytics Inc. and became President & Chair and CEO & Founder. In 2022, they will join Harvard University as an Advisory Board Member for the Lemann Program on Creativity and Entrepreneurship.

Dhirendra Shukla's education history includes a Lean LaunchPad Educators Program from Columbia University in 2013, a PhD. in Entrepreneurial Finance from King's College London from 2005 to 2011, an MBA in International Business Management from the University of Ottawa from 1999 to 2003, an MSc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Bradford from 1996 to 1998, and a BEng. in Chemical Engineering With Management from the University of Bradford from 1991 to 1994.
