Clayton Abernathy has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Clayton started their career as a Front Desk Clerk at the University of Kentucky parks and recreation in 2013. In 2014, they became the President of the Theta Chi Fraternity, overseeing its operations and serving as a representative. During their term, the fraternity acquired a chapter house for the first time in decades. Clayton also held other positions within the fraternity, including Vice President and Vice President of Health and Safety.

From 2017 to 2021, Clayton worked at the University of Kentucky in the Office of Admissions. Clayton started as an Assistant Director of Admissions for Recruitment, overseeing recruitment efforts in specific regions and creating recruitment plans that contributed to record student enrollments. Clayton then became the Associate Director of Admissions, supervising a team of Admissions Counselors, organizing travel recruitment schedules, and hiring and onboarding new counselors.

Most recently, Clayton joined Gray as a Talent Outreach Programs Coordinator in 2023.

Clayton Abernathy began their education journey in 2012 at the University of Kentucky, where they pursued a degree. However, no specific degree name or field of study was mentioned for this period.
