Wayne Karem

Wayne Karem is an experienced professional in civil engineering and community development, currently serving as a Board Member at Independence Bank and the Shelby County 109 Taxing Board. Wayne has held the role of Director at the Shelby County Industrial and Development Foundation Inc. since 2010, contributing to economic growth in the area. As a licensed realtor with Coldwell Banker Rogers Realty, Wayne combines expertise in real estate and civil engineering, offering insights into geological and structural evaluations. With over four decades in the field, Wayne has also served as a Geotechnical Consultant at Gray Construction and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky. Wayne holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky and MS and BS degrees from the University of Louisville. Additionally, Wayne maintains active memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Council of Engineering Companies.
